You have just found a really cool sport-coupe! Now, I know that a Pontiac G6 is not an uncommon car but they made a few different versions from a base 4 door, 4 cylinder sedan to the 6 cylinder GT, GT Convertible, GTP and the rarest of all, the GXP model, especially in a coupe. I have only ever seen a few of these out on the streets as they made so few of them, 2336 to be exact and the GXP was only available in 2008 and 2009. This car is pretty cool, with just 110,723 original miles it has had just one owner and the car is fully optioned including the Street Edition Package ($1050) which gives you the larger hood scoops and the larger rear spoiler. Other factory options include MONSOON Premium Audio w/Satellite Radio, Chrome-Clad alloy wheels, heated front seats, full leather seating, power driver’s seat, power glass moonroof, power adjustable pedals, remote start and OnStar. The color is also optional, Carbon Black Metallic that looks really nice in the sun, the GXP also gives you the leather interior with gray inserts on the Ebony Leather. Now, this car is not perfect but it is awfully nice and is very original, no custom stereos, alarms, noisy exhaust or ‘performance parts’, just how you want to find one. The car is also very complete with all original keys, remotes, owners books, cargo nets, front license plate bracket and factory floor mats. Please take the time to read my description and review the 90+ full sized high resolution photos below including several of the undercarriage that shows there are no corrosion issues an that the car has never been damaged.
The body of the car is super straight with no dings, dents or major scratching. When I got the car, the hood, roof and trunk-lid had some fading, we were able to do a complete paint-correction process and got that about 98% out, it looks really nice and shiny, just as the photos present it. As to be expected, there is some stone chipping on the nose but the lower spoiler is in nice original condition, most are chipped and chewed up from hitting parking blocks, not this one. All lighting is intact showing minimal aging and all is functional including the factory fog-lamps. Glass is decent, it is all original right down to the windshield and all is crystal clear. There are two sizable chips in the windshield off to the right of the driver’s field of view, not worth replacing at this time, it’s a non-issue. Goodyear tires are in good shape all the way around, they have approximately 55% tread life remaining and the wheels are all intact showing minimal aging, all center caps are present.
The interior of this car is just gorgeous, you won’t find many of these with even a 3rd of the miles that are this clean. Leather is all supple and soft with no dryness or shrinkage and if you reference the photos of the driver’s seat you will see that only just the color on the very outer ridge on the upper and lower bolster is slightly worn, absolutely no rips, tears or seam separation and I could have touched that up but I wanted to show how honestly incredible this original interior is! Door panels, dash and console are all impeccable. Carpets are devoid of any staining and the headliner is excellent including the visors which still have functional vanity lights. The car smells fresh inside, absolutely no tobacco, pet or musty odors. Everything works from the power seat, moonroof, windows, audio system, gauges and climate control.
Mechanically the car is quite sound. Engine starts promptly, runs smooth and quiet with no upper or lower engine noise. Transmission seems to shift properly and the car drives well. Keep in mind, there is a little wear in the front end as to be expected but it holds the road nicely. If you are expecting the handling of a $90k, newer BMW M3, you will be somewhat disappointed but if you accept reality and understand you are buying a sub-$10k domestic car that has 100k miles and is 14 years old I truly believe you will be satisfied. Car has not exhibited any leaks, does not overheat and there are no ‘service’ or ‘warning’ lights on in the dash as you can reference in the photo’s below with the engine running.
So, what’s a really rare, clean, fully appointed and complete sport coupe worth? Well, window sticker on this beauty new was $30k (nearly $40,000 in ‘2021 money’) and

you could find one in remotely as nice of condition with a spotless one owner history at a dealership, you would be staring at a $9950 price tag or more. I am going to simplify the buying process here by starting the bidding at just $99 and offer the car to the highest bidder at the conclusion of this five day NO RESERVE auction!
